The Rune Village (Runokylä) is a sociocratically governed community which takes care of Tärkkilä permaculture center´s going-ons. Everyone who participates in our workshops or work parties is, during their visit, a part of the Runokylä community, and can have a share in the daily decision making process.

If you enjoy being in the rune village, there is the possibility to reclaim a piece of land on the eastern side of the road to take care of and to build on. The planning of this area is only just beginning! We aspire creating a culturally, socially, economically and ecologically sustainable, international eco-village which will be a part of the Finnish Sustainable Living Organization (SKEY – GEN Finland) and of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN).
